Lyndonville Fire Station

A worker at a factory across form the fire station in Lyndonville noticed smoke coming from under the doors as he arrived for work. Lyndonville firefighters arrived to find a working fire at their station. Valiant efforts were made to save apparatus and equipment stored inside. All apparatus were removed form the building, but all were damaged, two beyond repair. Immediate calls for mutual aid were requested from, St. Johnsbury, East Burke, and the Sheffield/Wheelock fire departments. The fire destroyed the station which was leased in a building owned by the local electrical utility company
