2nd Alarm Multiple Dwelling
Building Fire

SJFD recevied a phone alarm for a fire in an apartment building on Concord Avenue just a few days before Christmas. Engine 3 arrived first and reported heavy smoke from the B-side of the building. All occupants were evacuated when the FD arrived, and they were reporting a fire in the closet in an apartment on the second floor. The attack crew met heavy smoke conditions on the second floor, made the fire apartment and then reported to the third floor where it was believed that a tenant was trapped. The search turned up negative, but the fire avanced quickly and extended into the third floor. The fire was contained to a portion of the second floor and the third floor.
