Annual Memorial Service

Each year on the weekend proceeding the anniversary of the PMI fire in Lyndonville that claimed the life of firefighter Eugene McDonough, the fire department holds a memorial service at the firehouse in St. Johnsbury. Friends, family and members of the public gather to honor Gene and the supreme sacrifice that he paid. A stone memorial sits in front of the firehouse as a reminder of the tragedy. Also during the ceremony the Gene McDonough Scholarship is awarded to the receiving student. Below are some pictures of the memorial service, more to be added soon.
