  Burn Permits

State law requires that individuals wishing to have some form of outside burning must call or come into the fire house to get a burn permit. All permits will be issued by the Fire Chief/Warden or the on-duty officer. Persons residing in the rural areas will be asked to come in and get a written permit. Statistically the best time to do outside burning is from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and 4:00 PM to dusk. The time between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM is the hottest part of the day.
