After 1923 - Housed at the new municipal building on Main St.

In 1912 the fire department acquired a new Chemical engine from the American LaFrance company. The truck was a 1911 Type 75 Combination Chemical and Hose wagon. The new engine was located at the new central fire station on Eastern Ave. and staffed by 2 full time firefighters. The truck had been known to carry 12 firefighters across the Plain (Main Street) at 45 miles per hour and make the twist up Sand Hill at 12 miles per hour. In 1926 the engine was replaced by another LaFrance pumper and the company was renamed Engine 1.
