The Box 36 Club was formed on April 9th, 2002, exactly 19 years to the day after the St. Johnsbury Firefighters Association Local 2934 originated. The purpose of this group is to provide a social organization for the members and past members. Funds that are earned through dues, donations, and events are to benefit the members of the club, the St. Johnsbury Fire Department, or any cause that the group has decided to benefit.
With events held annually throughout St. Johnsbury by both the fire department and the Town of St. Johnsbury, it provides the club an opportunity to earn funds for projects, and events, that it financially supports. In past years the members participated in the Rural Safety Expo, Downtown SummerWorks!, and the Fall Foliage Festival.
Membership includes a variety of individuals from all of the SJFD divisions (career, call, and retired). Members pay annual dues to belong to the club, and participate in group events. For membership and other information contact the Firehouse at 802-748-8925.
1938 Peter Pirsch Restoration - The Box 36 Club is currently in the process of restoring Ladder 1, a former St. Johnsbury Fire Dept. piece of apparatus. The club needs your help to complete the restoration.
